Criteria for evaluating sponsorship requests

MLL will consider sponsorship of initiatives that meet some, but preferably all, of the following criteria:

• Are from Marlborough organisations or people.

• Are associated with the education and advancement of youth.

• Provide environmental benefits to Marlborough.

• Promote the Marlborough region in either a commercial, educational, sporting, cultural or historical sense.

• Benefit greater, rather than fewer numbers of people.

• Provide MLL with recognition of its community role and commercial presence in the local economy.

Sponsorship application process

At November 2023 our sponsorship budget is fully allocated, and we are not seeking additional sponsorships. We will update the information on this page when the situation changes.

MLL considers sponsorship applications in November and May each year (sponsorship funding rounds).

• Applications received from 1 May to 30 October will be considered in November.

• Applications received from 1 November to 30 April will be considered in May.

To apply for sponsorship please complete our online sponsorship application form.

You will receive confirmation that your request has been received and advice of which sponsorship funding round it will be considered in within three working days of submission. If required, we may contact you for further information.

Application Outcome

MLL will contact you to advise the outcome of your application by:

• 30 November (for November sponsorship funding round)

• 31 May (for May sponsorship funding round)
