Marlborough Lines:

- Currently employs 113 staff.

- Has assets in excess of $200m.

- Owns in excess of 3,200km of network lines over an area of some 11,300km².

- Transports in excess of 350GWh of energy to some 23,000 network connections.

- Operates a contracting division, Marlborough Lines Contracting, which specialises in substation and line construction, cable installation, and the maintenance and operation of generation and electricity networks.

- Owns 51% of the network joint venture OtagoNet, which delivers electricity to the greater Otago region, and a 50% share of Nelson Electricity, the company that delivers electricity to Nelson city.

- Is a locally – owned and operated company.

- Supports a wide range of local community activities through sponsorship and provision of resources, including the annual Science and Technology Fair and Tertiary Study Awards.
