BRIAN TAPP Operations Manager, NZCE, REA
Brian manages the day-to-day operations of the Company's network. He has substantial experience within the electrical supply industry, particularly in network design, construction and operation. He has also served on national industry committees.
DAVID WATERS Deputy Chief Executive
David has responsibility for pricing and special projects within the Company. He has considerable experience in accounting, financial modelling, regulatory issues, and a comprehensive knowledge of the electricity industry, having served on a number of national industry committees.
GEOFF HOARE Company Secretary, BCA, CA
Geoff manages the Company's administration and IT systems, and also provides administrative and financial management for Nelson Electricity and Otago Power Services. He graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration, and is a Chartered Accountant. Geoff has much experience within the electricity industry and has served on national electricity industry committees as well as various regional committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand.
STEPHEN MCLAUCHLAN Contracts Manager, MNZIM
Stephen manages the Company's Contracting division, which employs the majority of the Company's staff. He also manages Otago Power Services Ltd, which is 51% owned by Marlborough Lines. He has electrical qualifications, an NZIM Certificate in Supervisory Management, and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Management (MNZIM).
WAYNE STRONACH Engineering Manager,
BE (Electrical), MIPENZ (Electrical), CPEng, IntPE(NZ)
A graduate of Canterbury University, Wayne is responsible for engineering design and asset management, and has held a number of senior posts within the electricity network industry. He has also undertaken various electrical engineering consultancy roles, including design and installation of control equipment for electricity generation schemes.
KEN FORREST Managing Director, BSc Hons (Eng), MIPENZ
Ken has been the Managing Director of the Company since its establishment in 1993, having previously been General Manager of the Marlborough Electric Power Board. He has extensive management and industry experience and has held a range of positions at a national level within the New Zealand electricity industry and associated organisations.
