Line Mechanic/Cable Jointer

The primary duties of this position include: 
  • Distribution line construction and maintenance
  • Substation construction and maintenance.
  • Transmission line construction and maintenance.
  • Assisting with fault location and repairs when required.
  • Jointing of both high and low voltage power cables.
  • Installation of ground mounted equipment.

 The successful applicant will have:
  • Adherence to safety rules and use of appropriate safety equipment. 
  • The ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks within target times.
  • Job knowledge and technical ability to carry out work without fault.
  • A current drivers licence and preferably a HT truck and trailer licence.
  • A relevant electrical qualification such as a Line Mechanics Registration or a National Certificate Level 4 in Cabling
