Marlborough Lines is a progressive electricity distribution business providing high quality electricity distribution services to the Marlborough region.
 
Based in Blenheim, we supply over 25,000 connections through 3,400km of overhead lines and underground cables. Our Network covers a number of very isolated rural areas including the Marlborough Sounds, Molesworth Station (New Zealand’s largest farm) and the Southern Marlborough coast.
 
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced person to take up the challenging role of Maintenance Manager. This is a key role as we continue to deliver a safe, efficient and reliable supply of electricity for the benefit of our customers, shareholder and community.
 
Areas of responsibility will include:
  •  Development and management of maintenance policies, procedures and standards
  • Setting of routine inspection and  maintenance programs
  • Reviewing  and analysing information collected during inspection and  testing and prioritising any necessary  remedial work
  • Liaising with field staff and contractors on remedial actions and ensuring work is completed to the required standard in a timely manner
  • Management of  Network operational expenditure and ensuring expenditure categories are correctly applied
  • Administration of primary asset management system with support from Information and Communications Technology group.
  • Input to and assistance with preparation of key Network planning, regulatory and disclosure documentation  
  • Setting maintenance related requirements based on industry best practice and/or regulatory requirements.
If you have a background in the electrical distribution industry with experience in managing and maintaining assets and are looking to broaden your experience while living amongst the vineyards and the beautiful Marlborough Sounds we would like to hear from you. A recognised electrical engineering degree and relevant industry experience or NZCE, National Diploma would be an advantage but is not essential.
