Environmental responsibility

Electricity is fundamental to the lives we lead and the businesses we run. It’s critical we maintain supply – but we’re always conscious of the potential impact our work may have on the environment.  Environmental care has been a cornerstone of the way we have operated Marlborough Lines since we started, and we’re proud to be an industry leader in this area. We focus on providing solutions that minimise our environmental impact, perform well and stand the test of time.

In 2002 we achieved the international environmental standard ISO 14001:2004, and we transitioned to ISO 14001:2015 in 2017. This accreditation requires us to be independently audited every six months to ensure quality environmental standards are maintained. To achieve this, we’ve developed a programme of environmental management practices and quantifiable goals, to ensure environmental care stays at the forefront of our operations.

Environmental policy

At Marlborough Lines we are committed to conducting our business operations in a manner that preserves the quality of the environment by continuously seeking ways to minimise the environmental impact of past, present and future activities. We believe that addressing environmental issues is in the best interests of our customers, community, shareholders and employees.
