Marlborough Lines is undertaking a major project to install new 33kV underground cables along the length of Murphys Road to ensure future security of supply for the Springlands area. The work will be carried out in conjunction with the Marlborough District Council's replacement of the water main and installation of a new sewer line.

Marlborough Lines is currently working on a major project to install a new 33kV circuit from Battys Road to Redwoodtown Substation on Hospital Road. The project will improve security of the electricity network and increase supply capacity.

MLL is pleased to advise that on 28 May 2021 a discount payment will be made to each eligible consumer’s electricity retailer. After this date your electricity retailer should then credit the discount payment to your electricity invoice.

The Marlborough Lines Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Robinson as Board Chair, effective from 24 March 2021. Phil succeeds David Dew who retired from the Board on 23 March 2021, after 15 years as Chair, and prior to that five years as a Director.

Winter storms sometimes cause power outages as power lines get damaged by wind and trees. As storm season approaches, Marlborough Lines advises that electricity restoration crews’ response to outages during a storm may be different under the COVID-19 lockdown.

On 25 March 2020, Marlborough Lines Limited (MLL) made discount payments to eligible consumers connected to MLL’s network, via their electricity retailer.
Ordinarily, MLL would issue a letter to eligible consumers outlining the discount payment process and amount receivable. However, due to the current COVID-19 situation, MLL will delay issuing these postal letters until when normal postal service resumes (i.e. when “non-essential” post is allowable again).
